Welcome to Tucson Arizona!
|
No season is out of the question, but our preferred times to visit Tucson are March, April, October and November, when the temperatures are at their most pleasant (highs average 80 F/27 C in April and 84 F/29 C in October). Winter (November-March) sees an average high of 65 F/18 C and an average low of 38 F/4 C. Summers have an average high of 98 F/37 C and an average low of 70 F/21 C. Low humidity and universal air-conditioning help make the high temperatures more bearable. Renowned for its sunny weather, Tucson's average yearly rainfall is about 11 in/28 cm. Late July-mid August and late November-mid December, Tucson experiences its rainy season. The summer thunderstorms are known as monsoons. Because it's set in a desert valley, annual snowfall is low in Tucson proper, although there's enough for skiing in the nearby mountains.
