Arts Council
The Tucson/Pima Arts Council, a nonprofit organization,
funds and promotes arts programs for the community, the
work of local artists, public art and community design,
diverse cultural traditions, and programs in arts
educations and arts technology, enhancing the quality of
life for residents and visitors of Tucson and Pima
County, Arizona.

PERFORMING ARTS:
Downtown
Tucson is the citys cultural center as well,
featuring nationally acclaimed performing arts groups.
These groups perform at the Tucson Convention Center and
the Temple of Music and Art.

Formed in 1972 by a group of Tucsonans, Arizona Opera has
established itself as a major regional opera company by
presenting riveting theater, powerful and inspiring
music, imaginative and sometimes challenging productions
with a host of talented young singers, conductors, stage
directors, and designers. The Arizona Opera has something
for everyone.
Arizona Theatre Company
"Where the best theatre blooms". Since 1966,
Arizona Theatre Company has created world-class
professional theatre right here in the desert. Each play

top theatre artists expressly for our community.

The Music Hall and Leo Rich Theater are two of the
region's preeminent arts venues, hosting performances by
the Tucson Symphony, the Arizona Opera, the Arizona
Friends of Music, and the Theater League. Many other
cultural productions, both local and touring, also
utilize our world-class facility.
Temple
of Music and Art
This refurbished 1927 theatre is home to the Arizona
Theatre Company and other arts groups.
The Screening Room
Tucson's premiere venue for independent film, it's also
home to the annual Arizona International Film Festival.
